Experience
Syda Kosofsky received her J.D. from UC Hastings College of Law in 1994. After graduating, Ms. Kosofsky worked as a research attorney for the California Supreme Court's Central Staff. From 1998 to 2004, she worked as a research attorney for the Sixth District Court of Appeal. She has also practiced civil litigation for firms in Monterey and San Francisco. Since 2006, she has been a professor at Monterey College of Law, teaching Advanced Legal Writing. Also since 2006, she has worked as a solo practitioner, with a practice that includes appellate work and legal research and writing on a diverse range of issues.
Ms. Kosofsky practices in all six appellate districts in California as well as in the California Supreme Court. She is also admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Kosofsky is a member of the Santa Cruz County Bar Association and the Women Lawyers of Santa Cruz County (2011 President-Elect). |
